A process-oriented training group is a place for therapists to do a mix of personal and professional work.

It’s a space to work in the “here and now” – to practice identifying the thoughts, feelings and reactions you have inside yourself, and towards others in the group. As you build capacity to be with yourself and others in a myriad of emotional experiences, you expand your ability to be present and attuned. The interpersonal work therapists do enlarges the psychological container they bring to their clients.

It is also a place to talk through challenging professional and personal experiences, work towards a fulfilling and enlivening career and be known and supported as a human. This reduces burnout and imposter syndrome and increases resilience and vitality in the field.

The skills developed in a training group are acquired experientially through relational interactions within the group process and by shared consultation about tough cases and professional stuck spots; there is no formal didactic component.

I have multiple groups for therapists, details below:

  • Tuesdays, 9:50am-11:20am, weekly. (Online Group meets via Zoom) *Starting Fall 2024*

  • Wednesdays 10:45am – 12:15pm, weekly. (Online Group meets via Zoom)

  • Fridays 10:45am – 12:15pm, weekly. (In Person Group in Austin, TX)

  • Cost: $70 per session

  • One intake session required. Due to the personal nature of these groups I screen for unworkable dual relationships.
